Howdy, During the Sixties, Toronto's Yorkville district was the center of Canadian hippie culture. I did visit there in 1967, but don't remember much, except for some boutiques (well, it WAS the Sixties). I do remember the Toronto police having us drive to their automobile inspection center, where our beater received various violations. The police were very nice, and gave us a citation that allowed us a month, I believe, to pay a fine by mail.
