There were art movies of the Sixties that shocked the establishment. They also opened the way for more liberal laws now established for movie making. I love the old "period pieces", such as "American Graffiti" and "American Graffiti 2", "The Wanderers", and "Hair". Plus movies either shot in the Sixties with a current theme, or newer movies about the Sixties, can be used to get the feel of that era - and for references for your role-playing characters. A genre of Sixties movies that I am especially fond of is Biker Movies, such as "Hells Angels on Wheels", "Wild Angels", "Satan's Sadists, and "Easy Rider". Another type of theater is "Street Theater". The Diggers in San Francisco presented guerrilla street theater, see: www.diggers.org/guerrilla_theater.htm. Many anti-war and other activists played out various scenes at protest gatherings or in parks to get their ideas across to others. Do you have a favorite movie or two about the Sixties? Or, could you dig being part of a street troupe? Rap about it here.
