Music may have been the biggest field of change in the Sixties, with the effects still felt today. Or as Bob Dylan stated: "People today are still living off the table scraps of the sixties. They are still being passed around - the music and the ideas."
Reference material on the music of the Fifties and Sixties could fill a number of library shelves. Music is the voice of a generation, and the Baby Boomers had a lot to say - and they said it uniquely. They protested through music, and they expressed drug-induced excursions into other worlds through music.
Feel free to discuss music of the Fifties and Sixties - but NO DISCO! For as Hunter S. Thompson once said: “I feel the same way about disco as I do about herpes.”
